My class brief was to create a character animation that properly expressed an emotion that we felt represented ourselves. I wanted something funky and fun so I used a clip of me dancing to base the characters movement. I depicted myself in an action that was consistent with my personality but also designed my character wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, some of my favorite samba shoes, accessorized with headphones and a can of seltzer. Although a pretty standard outfit, for people who know me this look is extremely appropriate. I also wanted to depict that you can find me dancing to any genre of music, anywhere any time. I created different imagery for the background switches to match the change in music.
